Our PAW-sitive Pride Pillars that I enforce in my classroom are:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
These pillars are consistent in my classroom.
The power of positive relationships between our learning community creates a sense of trust as a team. We will work together to award the positives and outweigh the negatives.
Appropriate consequences will be enforced when a student strays away from one of these pillars.
Expectations:
I love having fun in school and especially in our classroom! I love to celebrate wonderful behavior and hard work. I also believe in having a classroom where every student feels safe, comfortable, happy and confident. I want each and every student to succeed to his or her highest potential and I will do everything I can to make that happen. In order for this to happen, I need to make sure that I have a well-managed class. One way to do this is to make sure all students are aware of the expectations. We will discuss these at the beginning of the year and will have them posted in our classroom.
If need be individual behavior plans can be implemented with the help of you as a parent and the cooperation of your child!

- I expect every child to show respect to themselves, to me, classmates, other adults in the school, other students in the school and to the school property.
- I expect that every child acts responsibly. This includes following the classroom and school rules. It means taking responsibility for doing school work, filling in assignment notebooks, completing homework and getting a parent signature. It means admitting mistakes, accepting consequences and learning to make better choices.
- I expect the children to know the difference between right and wrong. When wrong choices are made, I expect them to be honest about what happened. Through this learning experience, better choices can be made in the future.
